That thing looks pretty straight. Id like to get something like that and make a daily out of it.

Cowl looks great too, it will be worth it in the end.

It’s pretty decent, little bit of rot, but the price was right. Little bit of work could get it nice, but I have a hard time just doing a little bit of anything...

No worries, it’s part of why I love this forum. Can’t count how many times someone else’s post has helped me out of a bind. It’s a bunch of work, but nice to know it’s clean when done

Re: How to: Ruin a perfectly good C10

Cowl is fully burned in and firewall metal work is (mostly) complete. Little more hammer/dolly and it’s time to sling some mud. The $25 corner filler piece from modshopmetalwerks.com was a great fit and time-saver. Minor shaping/trimming and it looks like it belongs

Color may be a while. Mud and primer first, then engine mock-up to make sure I didn’t weld up any holes I need...

You might want to try the engine mock-up before mud and primer... that way you don't have to undo some of that work. You really don't want to have to sand sand sand, then find out you have to fix something... Just a suggestion. I've been there before.

Wish I’d seen this sooner, haha. Mud work is mostly done. I’ll squirt some epoxy on it to preserve it until finalized, then filler primer and paint

Mine too! Thanks

Mud work in progress. I used all-metal for the first time. I like it so far
