1958/55 truck

Well this is a truck that my dad and I got for a futre build. I am waist deep in my 66 c-10 so it has been sitting. It came with 2 extra hoods. The truck is in very good shape from what we can tell. SBC 350 and a couple of goodies. My question is it is a 1958 and the guy said it has a 55 front clip on it. What do you guys think is that right? I am thinking of selling it and just want to list it correctly. Front clip off of a 55-56? Thanks for your help.

Should check the vin to tell if it is a '58. Try it here.

Re: 1958/55 truck

As stated, check vin. If it is a 58, look at the frame horns, the 58-9 frames ar a little longer and to get the bumper to set right, they will have been cut off. If not cut, it could have been recabed. The hood imblem is a 56. What's on the rear fenders? Is that some frenched taillights?

Re: 1958/55 truck

That's a helpful link Jared
But it didn't work for my Canadian 57 panel
It said Manufacture date unknown, but it did tell me my truck was built in Atlanta.
Just a suggestion jmedero
Take your title or Ser / VIN number to your local Chev dealership and they will tell you everything from what dealership it was sold from to the proper yr and all the option that came with the truck.
Good luck on your sale

The clip looks like a 56 to me if that's the original hood to the clip.
