That looks like a "medium-duty" chassis. Like a Chevy Kodiak or something similar. They just took one of our trucks and made the body fit. I've seen some of the newer trucks w/this size chassis used for advertising.... One that comes to mind advertises for a local country radio station. Just a guess, though!

You can see the line on the bed where its been extended, it's definitely longer than a longhorn..maybe an extra longhorn? lol
Since it has 6 lugs it may have deuce and a half axles tossed under it, but those wheels do look pretty new so it may be a medium truck chassis indeed. Pretty cool whatever it may be.

My first guess was a Dodge Power Waggon, I think the Chevy Kodiak's had 10 lugs....

Up close it looks like a longhorn frame, but it doesn't have the 6" line near the cab. Also the orange paint looks like it's been there since day one; I guess not washing it will do the same thing though. The frame is boxed, but I'm familiar enough to know anything more than that. I'm up there on Saturday - I'll ask then if anyone's around.

if my memory serves me correctly, some of the medium duty trucks had the same cab, just a different front clip and different bed. i imagine that you could add the front clip from a 1/2 or 3/4 ton truck and adapt a bed to fit on the back like this one is. i think it looks good though. talk about stability . . .

My neighbor used to have a f@rd set up sorta like that. It used 2 ton truck wheels with regular f@rd wheels welded in the center so he could run his stock axles. It was pretty ugly, but did very well in the mud.

Body looks like a standard Longhorn (six inch extension on front of box). There were no Longhorn 4x4's however, at least according to Andy, Longhornmail. So chassis has to be different...it is a 4x4 isn't it? Cool!

That bed looks really loooooonnnnnng and the front wheels look like they are too far forward. Could just be the angle. I'd like to have that bed to use as a trailer (don't hate me for saying that!)

Maybe we can calculate the actual length of the bed by measuring a front fender in real life then measure the one in the pic then figure out how long the box is that way :p

Well looks like a Longhorn body on it, look at the fender, is that a Longhorn emblem? Also, it is probably a heavy duty truck just hacked up. Like and old Chassis truck that he put different axles on and made a bed for and some other crap. I LIKE IT!!!

my guess would be a longhorn with 2 or 2.5 military axles under it, we were going to try a swap like that but got to busy we other things,seen one at the truck nationals last year in bloomsburg p.a.,pretty cool,,,

And the winner is...67oldstyle72 - He correctly guessed "what the ??? is that??
I talked to the owner and it is in fact a 2-1/2 T dually military chassis and it is a longhorn. (I looked a little closer and it had bondo where the line normally is.) It's either got a 69 or 70 front end and I forgot to ask about the engine. He told me he had driven it from Pendleton Or to McMinnville Or (about 300 miles) and top speed was about 62 mph. I asked about the rpm's at that speed and he said "oh, about 4800". So, it sounds like this thing won't get up to speed very quick, but it'll climb a tree if you need it to. It'll probably pull 2 or 3 story buildings too! Anyway, he was asking $3500 for it and says he'll deliver it in NW Oregon and has a connection in Idaho. Ask for Dave at 503 474 1833 I think it looks pretty rough, but someone might love something like this.
