Holidays and drunk drivers!Please look!

This is my Nissan truck.
The Buick is the drunks car.
I hit him broadside at 50mph when he turned left in front of me at 5 am in the morning Monday.

I'm out of the hospital and hurting.
He's in jail.No insurance.
Ya'll beware!
Mike.

Wait a minute.... how can you be 100% Chevy, and own a Nissan?

Just messin with ya. Glad you are able to post and not still in the hospital (or worse). At 50 mph that could have had a much worse outcome. Hope you heal quickly!

Re: Holidays and drunk drivers! Please look!

make sure and take it a step further, and find out where he was coming from drunk like that and get the places licence pulled for over serving.

people rarley drink and drive from home, they are going home, which makes the place that served them and let them leave in that condition is just as fault, a real business or a friends house, they are liable.

Re: Holidays and drunk drivers! Please look!

Thanks for the kind words guys!
And the jokes !(Hey,I towed it home with my 68,C-10)
I bought the Nissan about 5 years ago from a friend who needed the money. It's been a great work truck.
It probably saved my life in this accident!I was half out of the drivers door when it was over.Seatbelt held and the column collapsed like it was designed.
The other guy ran from the wreck, but was caught.Drunk.No insurance.Went to hospital for blood test, then to jail.
He had plenty of time to turn, but waited until the last second.I had no where to go!I left about 100' of skid marks, tried to turn right to miss him,but my tires were sliding,so I just went straight into him.
The point is- Beware! You can't predict these idiots! They are impaired by the alcohol and make really bad decisions.
Mike.

Re: Holidays and drunk drivers! Please look!

I seen my first drunk driver get arrested in front of my house about 2 weeks ago. It was at about 10 at night, the drunk driver was in about an 08 Dodge Charger and he hit head on with about an 05 Chevy Duramax. Nobody was really hurt, the guy in the Duramax had a cut on his forehead, the lady driving the Charger was fine and had no injuries at all, which is amazing because when they hit they were doing about 50mph. The whole front end on the Charger was peeled back, broke all the front end suspension because the car was laying on the ground. If you would have seen the car you would have expected someone to be dead in it. The Duramax only had the grille, headlights, and radiator damaged. Definitely need to be careful out there.
