Lomg Canadian winter project

I just purchased a 68 c10 step side project. The previous owner disassembled most of it and I finished it off. She is now soda blasted and glass blasted, about half epoxy primed and starting reassembly now. The hardest part for Canadians is getting parts, I have tons of parts on the way and lots waiting to get installed. I just bough a big block 343HO from my local Chevy dealer and picked up a new TKO 600. Waiting on brakes steering and suspension. Looks like a great winter. Will post photos as progress occurs. This is my first old truck I usually stick to Impalas. Stay tuned.Name: truck start here.jpg

Right on, glad to see one of these classics in the east coast. Not too many of these trucks made it through the salt weather over the years. Keep us posted on progress! Scotts Super trucks in Penhold Alberta is a good spot for parts, but your still into shipping. Don't have to deal with the border though.

Re: Lomg Canadian winter project

Thank for the tip, I hate dealing with the cross border stuff. I will give them a try.

One more thing about this old truck. It was imported from Texas about 10 years ago and stored inside and never moved . So it has never seen our salty winter roads.

Looks great. What do you have the cab resting on? About to pull my cab too, and need a place to store it.

Two folding steel saw horses, not very steady. They are rated for 300 lbs each.
