Great door art!

I know what you mean about life, have had my nephew with us for 10 days and have not worked on the truck once. He is heading home today so looking to get back on the horse!

Re: Donz '65 SWB Stepper Budget Build...

Saturday morning during my Bank run, for the Tattoo Studio, I ran across this Beauty of a '64...

Used the flap of bank envelope to drop a note for the owner...
Turns out he just bought the truck out of Missouri and is the manager at the Grocery Store where it was parked, we talked for a few minutes and I pointed him to this Awesome board.
That kicked me brain into gear
and I came up with these handy-dandy cards to carry around...
Next time, no flap left flappin' under a wiper blade... I'll place one of these there and Ride On!!!

Now if I could convince life to take a vacation, maybe I could get some truck time in...

I guess one of me moustache hairs decided to hijack me pic of da card!!!

That's really cool! Gotta be worth some Bomp points. You should move the "nice truck - check out this forum" part to the top of the card tho. My first read made me think you were talking about your nice truck. It is a nice truck however and I would want to go check it out! You are a genuine artist Don. So many wish they had half that kind of talent.

Thanx for the encouragement... And thanx to the Great Members of this board that are ready and willing to share knowledge and encouragement...
Surfing these builds is where I found motivation to take my build to where I have, my original plan was to replace that fender, then put a motor in and drive... didn't quite work out like that, kinda just snowballed!
Your build is one I will follow

Re: Donz '65 SWB Stepper Budget Build...

Those cards are a great idea. I recently introduced the forum to a couple of guys at shows I recently went to as well. Pretty cool being able to share the knowledge with other people.....I mean I have learned everything I pretty much know about these trucks here on this board in the last year. Figured I could help out somehow.

Can't wait to see the progress you get done

Re: Donz '65 SWB Stepper Budget Build...

Thanks JMo...

Spotted this beauty on the road and followed him to the Gas station. I introduced myself and handed him a card. He's visited the forum so maybe now, he'll join up and hang out here. He's in his mid 20's and just started a detail business... He says he is eventually build the truck, but is finding it tough to start tearing into it since it's driveable...
He's got a crate 350 bored .040 over and a mild cam (Sounds nice too), with a 700R4 pushing it down the road. During our conversation he mentioned seeing another truck this morning, turns out it was the one I posted about that prompted me into making the cards...

Here's his truck...
