Need 1965 C10 seat belt bolt locations

I am wrapping up my 1965 C10 and need the locations for the seat belts. The sheet metal on the cab I picked up was redone and there is no indication where the bolts go.

Do the inboard belts (I assume the buckles) share a common bolt attachment?

If you could either post a few pictures or email me (markbritt at Hotmail dot com), I would really appreciate it.

I am looking to install and wrap up this weekend.

Mark

Re: Need 1965 C10 seat belt bolt locations

You probably have them (holes) on the middle of the seat area in the back already. 65's didnt have shoulder belts. This shows the outer areas: http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=476066
Here is some info on manufacturers: http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=643107
Go to the FAQ section under - Seat Belts - there are many threads: http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=646002

I didn't think these trucks had seatbelts unless you added them. My '66 didn't have them.

Re: Need 1965 C10 seat belt bolt locations

For what it's worth;

My 66 c10 had holes and belts
My 65 k10 had no holes or belts
Both were unmolested Fremont trucks purchased from original owners, hope this helps
To answer original question, the inboard belts do not share a bolt, as I recall there was about a 12inch gap between them ( sorry no pictures )

If the link works below for my literature, look for the 63 Custom Accessories Installation Manual. The measurements are there for the installation.

Re: Need 1965 C10 seat belt bolt locations

seat belts weren't federally required until 1968.. my 65 has no hint of seat belt mountings.. I did order a belt set for it and back then there was a thread with location dimensions and drawings from a 66 in this board.. if I can find it, I'll repost, but it is in here.. thanks to Doug at SMS, took almost two years to get my seat done so that was all paused and belts aren't in mine yet

good luck!

Wow you have been doing some collecting there - Even seat-belt location dimensions and drawings.

Where he is making his hole for one of the two center holes - I have those holes that I believe are from the factory due to the backing plates shown. Both are 7/16" fine thread.
