Rochester 1 barrel carb help

Start off by saying I've been a long time lurker on the site while I slowly buils my 65 c10. I have been doing a budget build on it and refreshed and painted the Inline 6 230. Well I went to rebuild the 1 barrel rochester type b carburator and broke the power piston tube. I have looked around and can find my exact one any were. https://www.carburetor-parts.com/Roc...n-_p_3654.html . Tryed that website and they do not sale used parts no more. Can some point me in the right direction on where I can get this part?

Re: Rochester 1 barrel carb help

Can you post a pic of what exactly you need? The power piston itself?

Re: Rochester 1 barrel carb help

Those one barrells are junk. Try doing a google search and convert yours to a 2 barrell 2cg carb (they are supposed to give you much better drivability and gas mileage)
I'm going to try this route on my dads 50 Chevy

Re: Rochester 1 barrel carb help

I'll second popping a 2 barrel on. All you need is an adapter and either a Holley 500 or Weber 32/36. Throttle linkage mod and you are on the road. Once the Weber was tuned properly folks were getting pretty dang good mileage out of the 230 and 250. Food for future thought.

I think once she is running and driving it will get me motivated to look in to that 2 barrel option and other upgrades.

Re: Rochester 1 barrel carb help

I picked up a two barrel Rochester 2cg the other day for 20 bucks off craigslist and bought a kit for it for $18 and was going to make an adapter plate to go from 1 barrel- 2 , but found an adapter for $45 and went ahead and did that. I’ll try to keep You posted as to how it works out.
