i bet
up here they don't keep cars/trucks long in a yard it seems
crush the old wreaks out yearly, most yards
i guess they lose money the more steel rusts out lol
i will say my last trip threw one yard got my email on a list
they seem to be doing fun weird, joke, promo, stuff random sales, one even was to, tell one of the counter staff he had a nice beard or something for a free parts pull that day
getting an email "all seats this week 9.99"......could change/make your mind on where to go

just list new stock ,in emails lol

Re: Jim Bob a build thread

Ohh man I wish they had stuff like that near me. My yard would look like the Sanford homestead. I don't think the neighbors would be too happy. When I had my shop I had some old truck beds with caps on them and had one full of transmissions and transfer cases, another full of engines of all shapes and sizes, then I had an old truck frame with a bunch of rearends and driveshafts stacked on it. The real prize was the old Suburban packed with doors and fenders and any other body panel I could squeeze in it. I sold off what I could when I got out of the shop and had to junk a whole lot. I still think of all the good stuff I let go for scrap every now and then

Re: Jim Bob a build thread

So at this point i have about 4 coats on the roof and hood
about 3 on everything else
FWD to this week
removed my inner fenders from the 78 to use on the 79
bought new ones for 100.
Painted semi gloss black under the hood
this little guy knows the sound of the truck, wife says he goes nuts hearing it come home.
hears it starting if he's left behind he cries cause he loves driving in it
working on a puppy seat for him for those sudden stops(adapting a kid seat lol)

Re: Jim Bob a build thread

When trying to clean out the drains in the fenders i just cut them bigger
holes were not big enough the dirt/leaves was piled up in there
these were taken after poking and then pressure washing
before cutting ,before paint
