Square Body driveline fitment

Hello All,
Brand new to the forum looks like a great wealth of info.

I got struck by a bolt of lightning today.

Ran into a friend from high school and we were shooting the bull about cars we had back in the day.

My last 2 years of school and 2 years into my working career (1987-1990).
I had a 69 4x4 K-10 short bed. started out 307, 3 on the tree. Power brakes no power steering. 3.73 rears with 33x12.50's. It was a dream to park at the mall since someone before I got it put a small Malibu steering wheel on it.

Turns out after 5 owners it's sitting in the weeds at my buddy's farm. Basically a rolling chassis. Looked it over, basically a roller. No engine, trans or case.
Pedals and clutch linkage is there.
I have a 1983 K-10 4 speed truck at my disposal for parts.
I would like to bring this truck home .
Will the rears, especially the front bolt in?
I would like to put disc up front if I take on the project.

The axels will bolt right in. The rest of the driveline will go in easy also

Now the hard sell to my wife. She did not like that truck when we were dating.

I do believe the rear will need the perches and a shock mount moved to bolt in. Front should be good to go.

Tell your wife it will have disc brakes up front, that should do it.....don't forget to duck....Welcome aboard....too.

Engine with correct 67-72 mounts t case and trans should drop in Think leaf spring size changed in 73.

Tyler your right the front is a direct bolt in and the rear will require perches and shock mount relocation only the later square body 14 bolt out of a K/30 will bolt in without moving spring perches but will still require shock mounts to be moved

It's awesome you found your high school truck! Would love to have mine back. My wife told me not to sell it. Building a tribute to it now(orange w/white cap SWB '69). If I ever figure out how to post pics on here, I'll share the build. Good for you!

Thanks for the flip weq92f. One day I'll figure this stuff out.
The truck was a fleetside when I had it. The guy I traded it to put the stepside on it. The original cab had no trim and was the same color brown as the bed is now. Not sure which owner changed the cab and front clip.
The home made heavy duty push bar was the dead giveaway that this was "The Brown Truck" as me and my friends called it.
Can't believe I traded it even up for a 1983 Suzuki RM125 dirtbike.
