I gotcha. The channel made a huge difference. Unfortunately I don't have pictures of what was in there before. It looked like someone had glued the window to the old track and then the track rotted away around the glue. The glue was hard as hell, but I managed to get it all off pretty well.
LMC sold me the sash for what I feel is a crazy amount of money, but was one of two places that had one, so I didn't have much choice. They also had the rubber strip that I folded around the bottom of the window to hold it in. It's not the greatest hold, but it certainly works. I may find a way to attach it more permanently. I would love to get together for a cruise or something. Right now I am working on a tune up and all to get it running more reliably. Should be all good this weekend.
