Well since I have been told that my truck doesnt classify as prostreet I thought I would post pics of it and see what you all thought. It doesnt actually haul much of anything but A$$. Anyways enjoy the pics.

Wow, that is extremely clean and sweet! Is that dark walnut in the bed along with the oak? Nice touch.
OK you know what happens to colors on different computers. Is that a pearl lavander or what???

The bed wood is Oak but I used a dark stain on the outer boards. The middle two went missing some where between the six different shops it was in over the last 14 years. Someone probably has some real expensive fenceboards Anyways once I got the middle 2 cut and routered the edges I layed them in to make sure they fit and I really liked the look of them. They are almost like wooden SS stripes and they line up perfectly with the bottom of the bowtie. As far as the paint goes yes it is a Blue pearl in the midcoats over a pastel purple or lavender base. I wanted something different and it definitely is that. You should see the heads turn when you go through town and the color changes as you go past and through shadows. Pictures just dont do it justice but you get the idea. Thanks for the compliments. I havent met too many people that dont like it but obviously its not for everyone.

Yeah I couldnt stand the smell of gas in the cab all the time. As well I just didnt feel safe with it back there and my daughter comes with me everywhere as well. It gives more room for tunes and puts more weight right over the rearend where it belongs

Re: Semi Pro Street 1964 LWB Fleetside

I did that exact swap with my 59 back in 93 or so, I hated the tank behind the seat. As for pro street, what is the defining part that is missing?? Are they shirkin' it because it doesn't have the big bollons in the rear?? I'd say the color and style put it smack in the middle of the pro-street movement I lived through in the late 80's early 90's! BTW I love it, not big into the 60-66's but that one is too nice!

I think you are the first one that has even noticed on here. ILCUL8R for anyone that never noticed. You wouldnt believe how many people around town ask me what it is supposed to say. I tell them to spell it out and even then some dont get it. Thanks for the compliments. And yeah my daughter is pretty cool she was helping me polish tonight and was dissapointed when I told her she couldnt help with the wheels. Give it a couple years though and I wont be arguing

Re: Semi Pro Street 1964 LWB Fleetside

the wheels are too shiny and the rear tires are not big enough to be prostreet.

and i think its almost a rule that the rear rim has to be 15" to be prostreet

nice truck nonetheless.

Sweet truck! The bowtie on the front of the bed is very cool! Not everybody likes my pink truck, but I can live with that. That's what's so great about living in a place where we can each have our own opinions!

I didn't know there were any real rules to be prostreet. And if it ain't prostreet then is it protouring? Awesome truck.

Re: Semi Pro Street 1964 LWB Fleetside

A car or truck is "Pro-Street" if it is tubbed with a narrowed rear end and has 13" or wider rear tires. Yours looks good though, just not a pro-streeter .

Re: Semi Pro Street 1964 LWB Fleetside

I would call your ride a street machine.

If you could tuck a 29 x 12.50 wrinkle wall Sportsman type tire and run a 4 or 5" front wheel and tire combo --- it could be considered "Pro Street"

nice truck either way

I know it is not a Pro-Street more like everyone says Pro-touring but it is right on the verge. It is tubbed 3" and the tires are 12.5" wide on the 10" wheels but I guess because they are only 26.7 inches tall or at least used to be they arent big enough eitherThis is why I started the Semi Pro-Street thread

Re: Semi Pro Street 1964 LWB Fleetside

DJRACER was right, why call it "pro-street" when you could just say its fast and whoops ass i dont see why there is a Name for how your truck looks,it has a wide set of rubbers and is tubbed a tad so thats a basis to name it?

i think in the 60's it would have been called Fast and thats it

Re: Semi Pro Street 1964 LWB Fleetside

Very nice truck , not exactly my style , but very nice none the less . Toss a spray cap full of VHT in front of both of those rear tires and back up in the hot rubber and that is the meaning of pro street IMHO . My opinion of pro street will cause .
