Wheels and Tires

I have a 70 Sub 2x2 6 lug with big Drums on all four corners. (Of course I will be changing over to all discs). I have had it now for 10 years and finally.....Drum roll please!! Getting ready to start my restoration.

Here's my first question. What size wheel, tire combo, minimum to maximum will fit while I roll it around until I make my final wheel and tire choices.

Re: Wheels and Tires

Find the overall outside measurement of your disc brakes then add 1 inch. That would be a safe place to go. You need enough room for steering clearance. After that, what ever tire you have lying around in that size. I'm guessing a 17" or larger wheel will be in your future.
