is the front and middle seat the same size

I have a 1970 suburban that has the full width middle seat.
Do they both use the same size replacement covers. They seem to be the same size ?

I think the full width second seat is a little shorter than the front but I cant honestly tell you. Does your second seat have the arm rests? If so, I'm pretty sure it's shorter. Have you measured them?

Re: is the front and middle seat the same size

Thanks, yes the center full size seat is a little narrower then the front bench. I have a 70 and carsinc now makes the exact match cover for my front seat which I ordered today. They didn't have a pattern for the wide center so this winter I will pull that cover off, send it to them to use as a pattern to make a cover for the center seat

Re: is the front and middle seat the same size

My 71 suburban has a slightly smaller middle seat than the front bench seat and leaves me just enough size to be able to slide to the back area from the 3rd door. If that is the same one you have then no the front seat and middle seat are not the same size.

Re: is the front and middle seat the same size

I haven't put a tape measure on mine but visually they do look to be the same size.

Re: is the front and middle seat the same size

I drug my lazy self out and put a tape in it.
The wide middle seat is officially narrower then the front bench seat.

I was only wondering as carsinc is stitching me up a new cover for my front bench and they said they had no pattern for the wide middle seat. They did tell me if I sent in my existing middle seat cover they would use it to make a pattern. So if anyone is looking for the stock cloth custom seatcovers (not houndstooth) these folks can help you out.

The middle seat is also a little lower in the back than a front seat.
