New Front Leaf Springs w/pics

Hello all,

So I usually am looking on here for pics of stuff and figured I would be the one to upload something for others to see. I started with a stock 1971 k10 suburban and decided the leaf springs looked tired and since that was something I knew I could accomplish without any issues I decided to do it. So I then had to figure out which ones I needed. I had the 2 leaf 3" wide up front and the 4+ overload 2.5" in the back. I found the cheapest place to buy them even with the shipping costs to be truckspring.com out of Michigan. Since noone makes the springs i had anymore I went with the only option I had which was 3 leaf up front and 5+ overload in the back. Today I only finished the front so that is what I will post the before and after pictures of next. Definitely made alot more room in the wheel well and the only thing that changed was the leaf springs up front, nothing else. So here it is...

Before

After

Thanks!

I'm interested in the stance when all springs are done. When I got my truck two leaves were broken so I installed Tough Country 2" EZ rides. The rear was definitely low. I had install blocks also to make the ride height like right.

Thanks! Its for sure gonna be taller, I started on the rears today. Its funny how these bolts can take something that should be an easy process to taking all day.

I was initially debating on doing a 2" lift when I figured out I was gonna need new springs anyway but decided since the new "stock" springs I had to buy since they were the only option where thicker than mine I would just order them. Its definitely gonna be taller and I think its gonna have a pretty sweet stance.

Looks good, I put new k10 springs on front and c20 on rear on mine. Made for a better ride and and big difference when towing.

So what were the rear c20 springs? I didn't realize there was a difference.

Re: New Front Leaf Springs w/pics

Alright so I finally got the rear springs on and here it is, a "stock lift" ha ha... Keep in mind I have no weight in the rear other than the body. The wood bed is out so once that gets back in and the spare tire is back there it should level out.

I like it that way myself but I guess lifted trucks are supposed to sit level...

Looks good!
