Hey, my seats are out of my truck right now - that's the phase of project that I'm about to start - buildling the base for my interior and getting those seats back in.

I'll try to get you a picture of the seats today though.

I am using seats from a Dodge Dakota - they fit perfectly in my 49, have a cup holder built into the base (pop-out, 2 cups) and are like high-back buckets with a built-in, fold-up console that becomes a 3d seat if you need it.

Very nice setup for our old trucks - the only disadvantage is you can't recline far because of the high backs - kinda hard on a old back on those long trips.

I used a Glide Engineering frame. The bottom of the seat lifts up. Under the seat is my fuse panel as well as my remote reservoir for my master cylinder. There is plenty of room for an amplifier sub woofer, etc. if you want. I am 6'4" so the back of the seat has less foam padding than normal so I would have some extra leg room.

The seat that Handful 54 showed above in post 5 looks great and looks like it would give more leg room than the majority of seats you can find.

The 88 and up bench seats seem to be a good option and you could modify the bases to get the seat a bit higher or lower real easy. The lean backs on those don't take up a lot or room either.

Too many of the "great looking" seats we find and put in these trucks have lean backs that are way too thick to allow for room between the wheel and the seat or for decent leg room. The seats out of extended cab trucks usually fit that mold with the extra padding on the back side of the leanback.

For a stock cab it's still hard to beat an original seat that a good trimmer has redone and updated to be more comfortable.

I went with the stock and a great trimmer on mine.
