I thought about using Fuel line or something, but you might actually have to use plex tubing or some small pvc. This "gasket" will be constantly smooshed between the two pieces of metal. Just being plastic would take the noise way down.

What was the factory one like? Must have been pretty durable.
I will see how long that grommet lasts, then try fuel line.
