Re: Sectioned 65 lwb

If its no bother could you put up some pics of the inside of the doors and a pic of the tail gate.
That is an 'ol skool style build that a guy can really dig.

Re: Sectioned 65 lwb

So the route Im going with this truck is a combination of style 's ! Kustom - lowrider - redneck so today I cut up a visor for a old chevy and this is what I came up with

Unbolted it to see how much of a gap

Rough cut

Test fit

Filler

Going to make a stainless polished center section for it later

Someone makes a kit ! I just assume use the original piece , basically just need the glass and the inside sheet metal just cut the outer skin !

Re: Sectioned 65 lwb

Looks sweet! And i keep the gmc grill. When i got my 64 gmc i thought the same thing and almost tryed to find a chevy grill. But like you the gmc on grew on me. I have one extra one both are painted. The one on my truck has never had a dent in it cause it came off a truck with an original gmc grill gaurd the was on the truck from day one. I plan on some day sending it in to get it chromed along with getting my front bumper rechromed.

And on the highway at night you have a lot more light when running your hibeams.
