Re: Project: Turbo 250

oh yeah coolant all over the place the radiator is cracked! The bike is totaled the front forks are ratchet strapped on and as you can see the headlight assy. is bouncing around allover the place! This is the bike I got hit on! I had just put a brand new tire on before getting hit and I wasnt about to let it go to waste b/c the insurance company doesnt care if it is new or blown I get the same amount! And I didnt care if the engine blew either.

Re: Project: Turbo 250

Longbed, I was going through this thread, and saw WAY back in the beginning you had a problem with your brakes, I sent you a PM on it, but figured it may be beneficial for a your response, if you remember, to be public here:

SEMA Show.... next is my front air ride I posted in suspension section hopefully someone can give me some pointers! I dont want to double post but the jist of it is that the bag is not at designed ride height and I dont have any easy way of getting it there. I will post some pics that is max as in tallest ride it will go even with the upper control arm bump stops shaved. I am thinking about getting the slam specialties ss5 or ss6 bags but not sure if this will solve my problem, and not sure if they will handle the weight and if they do, how stiff is the ride gonna be....

What was the solution to this? I have the EXACT same issue with drop spindles from ECE, the bolt holes that the caliper rods go through are about 1/16 or less too far apart. Getting them shoved through, the outer brake pad seizes against the rotor.

Re: Project: Turbo 250

Well now that I havent touched the truck for 2 weeks due to all the BS busy work my professors feel they need to give us, I had to do something, soo.. I just about wrapped up the gauge panel, I just have to get the thread in nut/post that holds the healamp switch on the panel. But Its been rounded, brushed, cleared, and wired...

Hey longbed hell of a nice build you got going. I was wondering if you ever got your idler pulley bracket built. I would love to see some pics! By the way have you seen this trick setup by ECI?

Re: Project: Turbo 250

Oh yeah I got it built! That setup looks SICK though! super sweet looking! I actually kind of like how mine is run though, because I keep my AC drive system separate from the waterpump, power steering, and alternator so I dont have to have the extra friction if I decide to go to the track

This is a cool view of the rpm/mph for your combo. Is this a table out of some program or tool that I can access? I'd like to see the same view for my trucks.

Re: Project: Turbo 250

This file is an excel file and can e-mail it to you. Here is another screen shot of the file... choose your tire size, which trans( has just about every manual and automatic one you can use ) or your own custom gearing... your redline, ect and it cranks it out for ya!

Anybody know if those Clifford timing gear covers are still in production? I don't see them listed on their site.

Here's one I found but there's many different ones out there. With this one you'll need to know your transmission gear ratios.

Is this a new crank pulley? Is it still available at parts stores?

Yes it is a new crank pulley. It can be bought through napa, oreillys, car quest that I know of, but it is special order. The cheapest I found it was through Summit Racing Equipment.
