This is great work Parkwood! I enjoy seeing the detailed pictures, wish there was a way to save them all for reference as you used many of the ideas that I was wondering about while working on my 49 pickup.

The real story is i had it for almost 4 years but the build in real time was a little over 2 years.. We worked on at least 4 other car and trucks while working on the Burb... Maybe i'll post some of those pictures

Here's a few just for you...
Thanks, not to take away from the burb build thread, but great looking wagon too. by the way, on the burb, nice touch on the swing down panel that the air valves are mounted on. Alot of great ideas shown we all can learn from, thanks again for posting

Thanks Larry, the idea for the swing down air ride panel came from not have any place to put it and keep it out of the water.. plus we had to have some way to work on it if need be.. the tanks, pumps, and panel were all mounted on the outside of the frame rail... bunch of wasted space that i used..
and glad you liked the wagon, that's one's mine..

This is an absolutely beautiful build, very classy, and very detailed! Thanks for showing us all the things you did like the efforts you took to match up the outer panels and skins, makes it all the more impressive.

How was the woodgrain done, is it a wrap or was it hand painted? That's a LOT of leather on that interior, wow!

Glad you liked it Blue Jeep.. doing the panels and door gaps are just something i look at on other builds and just couldn't let it go on this one..It's a lot of extra work but in the end it was all worth it.. I spent weeks grinding and welding all the door gaps to get them right but makes for a very nice package to look at.. thanks again..
And yes it was a lot of leather, only the headliner and the backs of the seats were not leather.

The wood grain was done by the guy you see doing the sign, he's a pin striper friend of mine in SO. Calif. and yes it was all done by hand painting it.. spray a base and then use brushs to brush on the darker color to make it look like wood grain..

It's really a lost art that my friend is trying to keep going..
