Re: New ride

Met him at the Terrebonne cruise last weekend. Nice guy and nice truck. Can you believe his hood isn't bolted on. It just sits there and he claims it doesn't budge! I do know these hoods weigh 743 lbs! lol

Thanks prostreet it was nice to meet you. It does latch in the front and no it doesnt budge a bit even at 65 MPH but I will be fixing it anyway so I can easily open the hood at shows once everything is pretty

Re: New ride

Motor shots after a whole lot of cleaning and a few chrome goodies still have some parts to chrome and install some new steel braided hoses.
Its a 400 small block with tunnel ram and dual holley carbs.

Re: New ride

man that looks really clean after you fixed all the loose wires hanging around. You might need to put a breather in the york compressor

Re: New ride

Nice truck(s). I have an 84 so I'm a little partial to your previous square body. But I really like how your new-old one lays. How do you like the engine driven compressor? I'm looking forward to the day when I can participate in a few shows. That looks really fun and people can appreciate your ride in person. Thanks for posting all the pics, I really like the newer pic with the clear tail lights.

Thanks Tagg33 and ruffrida2005 I LOVE my EDC both my trucks have them. And your right ruffrida2005 i need a breather just havent installed it yet.
We have been to two shows with the c-10 and really enjoyed it. A bit older crowd and a whole lot more muture. I stopped going to mini trucks shows a few years ago becuse how how everybody acted (I outgrew that kind of stuff 15 years ago).

Re: New ride

Nice truck, but that 79 was so freakin nice! Just clean as hell. I'm sure it was a tough decision to make. Just needs some bigger wheels imo, which I'm sure is comin after seeing what you had on the 79. Good luck with it.

I loved my 79 but i really love the 67-72 chevy's so I had too do it. As for the wheels your right way too small I am going with 20x8.5 and 20x10.
