Angry Help with leaves !!!

I am experiencing a problem with leaves falling into and under the cowl in front of the windshield. Eventually they drift down into the kick panel vents and blow into the cab when the vent is opened.

I know I'm missing something that will prevent this from happening. Is there a solution? I am about to buy a used cowl cover and weld small screen onto the bottom to prevent the leaves (and dirt and such) from entering the underside and into the vents. Not sure if that's a good or correct solution. The factory must have had something in place to prevent this.......

Re: Help with leaves !!!

I used regular window screen and hot glue. Cut the screen to size and glue.

Re: Help with leaves !!!

We just used some of this.

http://www.homedepot.com/p/Unbranded...LATH/202093395

We bought a sheet, took off the cowl, and cut a piece to fit it. Attached with a few spots of JB Weld. Works perfect and looks good from above once installed.

These are the screens linked in post 3. They keep stuff out and also hide the view into that ugly pit. No drilling required.

Re: Help with leaves !!!

Looks pretty much like my $7.50 Home Depot solution.
