The itch strikes again!

This came available locally and my wife said I could indulge.
Anyway, I've had the green 67 for 25 years. My great grandfather bought it new.
The new addition is the white 69 4x4. It's got air and of course the pto winch that I think is the coolest thing ever! This truck is gonna be a driver that I pick away at on a regular basis.

When I take pics on my phone I take them in landscape as opposed to portrait I don't remember which direction I rotate my phone but if all else fails I'll preview my post and rotate the pics as needed before I post. Also nice k10 op almost looks like what mine would've looked like, but mine is a 71 and a swb.

As mentioned, I think it is the orentation of the phone when you take the pics. I just flipped these in Photoshop....

Re: The itch strikes again!

I've found that pictures will post correctly, but only after they are rotated clockwise 90 and then rotated counter clockwise 90 with whatever tool you normally use ( I use Irfanview ).

Doing this sets your local image orientation properly, then posting is no trouble.

Re: The itch strikes again!

I'm thinking that it's a dealer installed option. It's not on the SPID, the PTO option is though. There are probably a lot more knowledgeable people that could chime in.
My boys want me to pull it off, if they win out I'll let you know. Prob not gonna though, it's to sweet!

I have to tell you, I put an old worm winch behind my bumper. When I look at the before and after pics... the before is way cleaner and nicer. I've had a winch on about every truck I've owned. But I'm getting ready to do a bit of pick and file on my front grill, and patch the front lower front fenders. After that, I may well go back to the clean stock look. I love a winch on a 4x4... tough decision.

Nice truck, and yes, nice color!

Finally got the lift installed. I'm loving the way the 2 inch tuff country lift looks. What do you guys think?

Re: The itch strikes again!

Thanks guys. I'm excited to keep on truckin. I've got some new wood for the bed, and some front end rebuilding to get to before winter hits. Due to some recent changes at home, I'm gonna have to drive this truck through the winter. I'm hoping the salt doesn't do too much damage. I'm gonna be spending a lot of time at the car wash this winter.

Man, I hope they don't use brine there! I drove mine from October until March and I won't do it again. It really rusted a lot of stuff. (Granted I put on over 10,000 miles on it in that time too) I had to go back and treat it and repaint the entire bottom side this summer. You can try spraying the entire underside with WD40. Supposedly that will not let the brine, salt, sand stick to the underside of the vehicle and start the rust process. I washed my underside indoors once a week, but it still didn't help.

Re: The itch strikes again!

That lift looks great, what a cool truck. Nice to have 2.

If they use mag chloride, it won't be too bad. Just keep it cleaned up. That's what we get here, and the local cars aren't nearly as nasty as back east or Midwest vehicles.

If it's real salt, then good luck.
