What is this switch gizmo?

I am working on an '84 chevy K10 vin H 305 small block.
This switch or whatever it is, is sitting just above the pass. valve cover at the back towards the firewall.
What is it called and what does it do?
Mine has a broken connection on it. I don't know if it's vacuum or electrical.

Not sure what the switch is but I do know it's vacuum actuated. Those are vacuum lines on the right.

This is a pic I found online. The switch on my truck has a vacuum line going to the right side of it and a blocked line on the left. The plug with 2 wires in back follow into the same group of wires that go to the ESC.
