Does anyone make a 6 bolt IFS for 59 apache 3100? I have looked at plenty of websites, and they all seem to be a 5 bolt pattern.
The wheels I have at present are 6 bolt so would like to stick with that if possible.
OR
would I be better off going to 5 bolt? Are the wheel choices better?

Scotts Hotrods has a 6 lug upgrade as well and we have great forum deals for all of the great people on this great site.

From the looks of it, seems 5 bolt is the way to go, certainly more options there, and at a keener price than the 6 bolt, also sounds like a valid reason for new wheels!

If you Camaro clip your truck you will struggle to find 6 lug rotors, I chose to keep mine because I wanted to run steelies & I think 6 lug have a little cool factor, but thats just my opinion. This is how I did mine.http://http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/showthread.php?t=437842

You might also consider the IFS from a 63-70 C10. It will bolt right up to your frame with no modifications and the best part is that you can pick one up cheap! I used on from a 79 on my 3600 but had to have it narrowed to make it fit but you wont have that problem siince you have a wider frame.

I was thinking the same thing! Bolted right up that sounds nice more info please.

Also Six lug is the way to go for wheels all the 02 and newer 2wd trucks are 6 lug I could be wrong about the year they started doing 6 lug on the 2wd for newer body style but a buddy of mine owns a wheel shop and never has a problem getting six lugs wheels almost any style

Well OK Ill go out and measure my 69 C-10 with the 74 front and get back to ya. I would measure the 58 but we got a coupla inches of snow and still snow/rain .OK ran out and measured I got 28" outside frame/outside frame this is allso confirmed through the service man.

That's correct. You could weld it up if you choose, but there's really no need to since that's the way GM designed it to work. If I recall, the entire unit is held in place by ten bolts. You can find detailed instructions here.

The six lugs were used through 70 & the five lug I know for sure through 87 but beyond that, I'm not sure but they are all bolt on.

I been thinking of doing this swap myself,The AD frames are narrower than the TF trucks correct?If I remember correctly the TF frames are 34" wide

That's correct. It's a direct bolt on for the TF trucks.

OK how did you do it I measure my front end of 69 with front end from a 74 it measures 28 1/2" the 58 is 34".

Not trying to be a di@# but just trying to find the answer

You are correct. For my AD it was a bolt on affair but had been told by others that they did this swap on their TF. Did some research and came across this article detailing the steps to do the install the IFS on a TF.
