Thumbs up HeavyMetalChevy

So I bought a cab from scotts72heavyhalf and HeavyMetalChevy volunteered to have the cab shipped from Oregon to Vermont (over 3,000 miles) for me.

I didn't even buy anything from HeavyMetalChevy but, he stepped up and took on the task of organizing the shipping. I am extremely greatful.

Even though, I didn't buy anything from him, I would hesitate if I needed to. Great guy and an assest to this site.

Re: HeavyMetalChevy

Agree with you guys big time! He's helped me out with all sorts of information over the past few months and I've only ever bought one item from him. Even though I have a '66, there's still a couple of 67-72 parts that I need and I'm holding out on them until he comes across them just to help repay him for his kindness.

Re: HeavyMetalChevy

I gotta' agree on this for sure. I used Duane to get my TH350/np-205 rebuilt combo (purchased from LINELOCK at a very reasonable cost) shipped from Reno Nevada to just south of Wichita Kansas. No muss, no fuss, shipped it to a local farm supply retail store. Friend of mine is general manager there, called me when it came in, drove the truck out there and they loaded it up with forklift. Highly recommend using HeavyMetalChevy if you have big or heavy parts to ship such as engines, transmissions, tranfercases, etc.

Re: HeavyMetalChevy

I have not bought from him YET but I have been tempted many times as he has good parts at good prices .It just seems like when he has something I want my funds are low and my truck is stalled anyway. I always check his threads to look at what kinds of deals are going and he seems like my kind of guy and if I remember correctly he is a caregiver for a family member which is a tough job as I have been there and I highly respect anyone in that position .

Re: HeavyMetalChevy

I have over 5000 parts in stock at this point...After moving back in forth from my storage lots....garage, yard and such...It has been rather difficult to categorize....It seems that I go on and on with excuse...but there is also a difference between reasons and excuses. There are many reasons. I have also been busy with fundraisers, poker runs, and trying to allocate a measly $50,000 for my fathers liver transplant. I embrace it all though. What everyone else been up to lately?

Honestly, most have been up to dealing with life, helping others, dealing with hardships AND taking care of their obligations.

I have said it before, I am so sorry for your Dads health issues. However, if things are that bad that you can not close your deals, then you should not sell until you can. What you are doing now is called fraud, no matter how you try to paint it. Not only is it immoral and non truthful, but illegal.

Fraud is the purposeful deception of someone to benefit yourself financially. In no way have I lead people on and there is nothing fraudulent about any of my threads and/or claims. I HAVE STOPPED SELLING for almost two months now... I am tying up all my loose ends and completing orders to satisfy all obligations. And please "paint" you picture of how I have not been truthful? I pride myself on my "realness" and honesty so that my friend...is something you will never "paint" me as. "twos"

You stopped selling parts two months ago and you still haven't sent some people parts? Hmmm...makes you wonder where people get the idea you might have taken their money and not sending their parts (fraud). Oh,that's right, you "said" you are sending them with "reasons" not "excuses".

Hey Duane, Probably not a good time to comment on this subject, I haven't been on here in a while. But it appears your having, and going through some difficult times. I would like to let you know I appreciated doing business with you, and really enjoyed meeting you. You treated me right. Thanks again Pete
