I am also doing this build. And i would also like to know what intercooler that is. it looks like a stock 94-98 dodge cooler??? The guy who did his sub had a banks kit and his cooler looked similar but upside down. p.s. very nice build

Are you still going to be able to run the stock hood latch with the IC?
Are you going to run A/C. My understanding is stock cummins AC compressor gets into the frame rail. I'm looking to do a cummins suburban, but my thought right now is to use the 3/4ton 4x4 dodge frame with the 'burb body to avoid the compressor interference issue. |

no factory air in this rig, don't even have the factory heater lol running my dads left over 55 heater box. But ya the compressor is in the frame rail if I were to use it. If I really wanted a/c idhook up a winch motor to a compressr and and mount it else where.... My goal for my airbag air supply at least

Any undates? What is that rack out of? Im working on this same conversion, Im trying to get the motor as far back and low as possible but its getting in the way of the steering. How is the bump steer? Thanks.

Well turns out I haunt updated for a while, well here's my progress..
  Shiny front  12" shorter and siting on bags- decided to go swb and didn't want to cut up the frame... So I shortened the trailing arms and will cut 20" off the rear of the frame   Posted via Mobile Device |

Nice job on welding/shortening the bed. I always wondered how the rear section fit because it seems to taper down on the upper body line. May just be an illusion,or maybe I am crazy. I am concerned that your new bed floor may not be safe for transporting brew, seems a little shallow
 . Looks like you need a huge notch now! What are the two sections in the front of the bed for with no floor?Looks sweet!

Stock dodge pump, Dakota pressure line, Dakota r&p, Chevrolet trans cooller back to the pump.
I looked though a catalog to find a ball& socket inner tie rod end that had the right lenth and thread and 3/4" hems on the knuckles.. I filled in the ball joint taper and drilled and taped it for 3/4" fine and put the heim on the bottom and nut on top. I'll take more pics tomorrow if ya want Oh ya and for my column I shortened it 4" I believe? Pushed the bell of the columb to my gauge cluster and ground the end of the steering shaft square and used a ford super duty intermediat shaft between my r&p and column. The mid shaft uses u joints instead of the rag joint they had stock. Posted via Mobile Device |
