NOS lighter element

There is a GM dealership in my small town that has been in bus. since 1935 and with the government restrictions on GM it has become victim to being closed. My buddy is the parts manager and I have first shot at going through all of the lofts and one old building. Today we went through some stuff and I came home with a NOS 6 lug 4x4 rally wheel about 20 service manuals, a NOS console middle section, and a bunch of odds and ends. Here is my question I ran across some NOS lighter elements, all of the factory ones that I have ever seen has (63 Casco 12v) on them and my buddy said that is what GM used so in all of there lighters. Here is a pic of the what I got and they are all an exact match to the ones used on a 67-72 truck. What are these worth.

Thanks PT

Re: NOS lighter element

Are these the elements minus the nob? I've seen the element with the deluxe nob go for $10 to $52 depending on the auction on eBay. I don't know what the element itself would sell for. I would guess around $10 - $20 shipped

Re: NOS lighter element

It is just the element that screws onto the knob.

Thanks PT

Re: NOS lighter element

Ok guys does 20.00 each bucks shipped sound inline. These are clearly hard to find, I have searched the internet and cannot find but a few hits on this part#. So I will have to start a f/s thread and I will give those who responded first the first shot and go in order. I am going to keep a couple for myself. So I will let 10 go.

Thanks PT

Re: NOS lighter element

Sounds very reasonable. If I didn't have one already, I'd be on it.

Re: NOS lighter element

Pt, those are actually NORS, I have came across this sort of thing before. Note the packaging/labeling with "Quality Parts" and "QP", and no GM or Genuine General Motors Parts labeling and also the absence of any group # printed. I have seen a few other new old repro stock parts with this "QP" and also "QM"/"Quality Motor Parts" labeling that looks alot like GM packaging. With these still being a USA made part, are they stamped with the Casco 12V.?

Re: NOS lighter element

Yes I know that they are Quality parts and not GM but they are made specifically for GM and they are stamped (63 Casco 12v).

These are now f/s on in the 67-72 truck section. Those of you who responded have first shot at them.

Thanks PT
