SPID on inner fender?

Hello folks,
my 84 has the SPID on the driver's side inner fender. It looks like it has been there a while, possibly from the factory. Is this common?
TIA,
Kevin

Yes. They were put on the fender or in the glove box.

Re: SPID on inner fender?

Was year, not country, specific. 74(ish) I was aware of, then shortly thereafter they returned to the glovebox. Was not aware they moved back to the inner fender in the 80’s.

Agree.

I recall a brief timeframe (1984, apparently) when they were on the fender inner.

Re: SPID on inner fender?

My 83 has no SPID on either the fender or the glove box. Both parts look to be original, but might have been replaced. The only thing I have on the glove box door is a camper load capacity sticker, since I have a Camper Special.

Re: SPID on inner fender?

Both of the '84 model trucks I have had, and the one my son has now was on the driver inner fender.

Re: SPID on inner fender?

Hmm, Wonder where my originally was? It's not there anymore. Any way to tell or find out?
