New signs for the garage...

Well the wife and I decided to take the rest of this week off, so yesterday we headed to St Louis, to run around up there for a little while. Traffic wasn't to bad, but we did end up finding two really cool signs for the garage in the most unlikely places. The motorcycle sales sign we found at a store called Kirklands, which is mainly a home accent store. And, the Route 66 sign we found at Gordman's which is also a home accent store. (can you tell who was doing the majority of the shopping ) Both of the signs are made out of wood, and have a real weathered look to them. On the Route 66 sign, the darker colored part is actually raise a little from the lighter painted part. Now I can't wait to clean the garage up a little and get them up.

Moral of the story:
The next time the wife/gf takes you to go shopping, keep your eyes open, because you might end up finding something for yourself, your truck, or your garage.

Here's the pics...

Cool signs! Nothing makes a garage your own,... like decorating it with MAN STUFF! Post up some pics of the garage when you get them up!

Cool signs I never get tired of seeing a really nice garage. In one of my old car clubs we use to do garage cruises on Saturday mornings. We would pick a garage or two and just hang out it was a blast.

Here's my sign" wall. Anyone recognize that parking meter in the right lower corner? Who on the board had those for sale a few years back?

Re: New signs for the garage...

I'm not sure who had them for sale, but I would like to know if they have any more for sale....

Thanks for the feedback guys. I've got a lot of other signs that I'll have to get pics of and post.

Re: New signs for the garage...

I have the texico one and a parking meter ... I can't remember the screen name... but i remember the awesome projects he had when i went to his house to pick up like 7 pr 8 meters though.
I have quite a few 'garage art' things, but no garage to put them up in... So I have a stop sign and truck adds and valve covers/license plates, air cleaners... all that jazz hanging up in my bedroom and in my living room.
Chicks DON'T dig it.

Re: New signs for the garage...

I have the same thermometer, fire Chief, And Chevy Parking in my garage. My traffic light is in the other bay, and my parking meter is outside by the door. The wife usually picks me up a few signs every year for either my B-day, or for Christmas. I'm getting ready to re-do one side of my garage that is walled off with my gas pumps, signs, etc. I don't often park on that side, so might as well just make it a place to hang out. BTW..anytime that you are at Wally-World or such, pick up some cheap picture frames, then just copy pics of your rides and mount them around the garage. Cheap yet very effective way to personalize a space. Even garage sales can get you frames for around $.10 to $.25 a piece.
