false door window track removal?

hey all, I am stripping my burb down and just ha ve to remove the fasle door window track and stationary glass. Prob is, i cannot seem to get it out. i have tried everything I can without damaging the piece. If anyone has a good tip, it would be appreciated as this is the last thing i have to remove before lifting the tub off the frame.

thanks

Re: false door window track removal?

The track is held in with 2 screws at the bottom and one screw at the top going thru the header. With those out, the track should come out.

The stationary window can be a real tight fit . I just cut away at the weatherstripping with a razor knife to free it up, and eventually got it out along with the weatherstripping.

Good luck

Re: false door window track removal?

hey, ya, i cant find the top screw. looks like there is a molding that goes from the top of the window track, across to the front of the door and back down. i took the screws out all along this molding, but cannot for the life of me get it out. is the top screw behind this molding?

Do you have the front window track removed too? Once that is removed then the "molding" should come out easier and then you can get to the screw up in the top to remove the rear window track. I had to use HOT, soapy water to free the fixed window. I still chipped my glass
