Just Simple Pleasures

A few months ago my favorite coffee cup went missing . It was a friends gift to me . I asked everyone in the house about it and no one knew anything . So after a bit I figured it was broken and tossed out .

This last Saturday I stumbled out of bed to get my 1st cup of "nerve medicine" and I saw my cup ... My favorite cup . I said nothing to anyone . It just made my day after a rough week at work . I am a simple man with simple pleasures .

Yes Sir it was . I washed it just to make sure . That was not in the cabinet . I took everything out and looked . Then it shows up . Spooky..

I can relate. I need my family, my dogs (they are part of my family too), and my coffee.

I am often thankful to simply have a comfortable home. I actually see the basics such as plumbing, electricity, fuel (wood and oil), and hot or cold water on demand as semi-luxuries. I mean, what would our lives be like without them?

Oh btw, glad you found your cup! Your house must have gremlins.....

I can appreciate how you feel. I have a favorite coffee cup too. My cup has "Jack Daniels " logo on it. I hate gremlins in the house too....

Very true and well said. The wife and I enjoy a simple, stress free lifestyle for the most part. We like it that way. We went over to a little car show today. She bought a $10.00 shirt, I got a couple "mouse swords" made out of nails for the great nephew and niece. Such a simple day!
