On a little side note, I think the Christmas wreath in the background could use some water

Re: Put the Steelies on Today

When I put those white ones on the blue 68 stepper, I swear the guy at the tire store had been diggin coal or something. His hand prints were all over them. That's the only thing not-so-good about the white wheels. Maybe powdercoat is different, I just used Duplicolor cans.

Re: Put the Steelies on Today

Man that's a good looking truck, exactly what I want to do to mine, add lowers, white roof and steelies, I came up with some wide 16.5's.

Re: Put the Steelies on Today

Thanks guys. I would have preferred it if they were 4" backspace instead of 3" as they increased the track width by 2".

Shawno72 - that isn't a Christmas wreath- that is a grape vine wreath that my wife assures me is a year- round decoration on the old barn. Who am I to argue. It is sagging in sympathy with the barn.

Rochlow - they are 15 X 8 with 3" backspace. Only work on 70 and below (drum brakes) as they hit the calipers on disc brakes.

Agent 915 - that light was one of my Carlisle "must haves" a few years ago. Then I had to get an electronic controller and mount it. Rarely turn it on now. the grandsons like to see it when they are riding their bikes.

That's a fine looking truck! How tall are those tires? Is that a stock height suspension? More pics would be nice?

That looks great. Doesn't take any getting used to from me. I've been digging that look since these trucks were new. I'll never get used to the crap being offered these days.

Those 76-91 caps are pretty easy to find...and still reasonable.

Powder coating these wheels is the way to go IMO.

Re: Put the Steelies on Today

Thanks all. The caps were the later model (yellow) and I picked them up at Spring Carlisle. They aren't perfect but will do for now. I painted the rings and bowtie to make them look year correct.
FLDBRED - stock height 31 X10.50 X 15's
Vectorit - I had them blasted and then I just primed and painted them. Powdercoating would have been better.
Tim - I like the look - just the backspace that I wasn't sure I liked.
