Took both out for a head to head at the drag strip

So, with the help of a friend, last night we took both trucks out for some 1/8 mile fun. The '46 runs a 5.7 TBI/700R4 combo and the '47 runs a 4.8/4l60E which is also fuel injected. Now the '47 weighs about 1500 pounds more (a guess) but is rated at 270 HP and 300 ft pounds of torque. The '46 is rated at 210HP and around 300 on the torque. Both run a 1:3.4X rear gears and 75 series tires. Both drive trains are g stock and both run very well. So, you guess: which was faster when both hooked up good.?

weight > hp, so with equal torque I will say the 46 indubitably and probably faster by a long shot.

'46 wins. Actually, to my surprise they are close. On the last slip they both hooked well with very close reaction times (both slow). The COE is consistent on time but the '46 has issues with tire spin.

Fun stuff.
Looks pretty close per the last two tickets.
