Tilt steering question

Was there a tilt column made for a floor shift burb? If not what length should I be looking for in the aftermarket. Thanks

Re: Tilt steering question

Yes, there was a floor shift tilt column offered from the factory for trucks, blazers and suburbans. They are pretty hard to come by and pricey when they are found. See them on the parts forum occasionaly in nice driver condtion from around $350 useable but not show on up to $500 or more for a REALLY nice one.

A later model Van tilt column will work with a little modification to the intermediate steering shaft.... (easy to shorten) and they are cheaper. You would have to remove the shifter handle and boss from the shift collar but there is a "How to" on here for doing that.

Here is a picture of the van column I modified for my Light Yellow '70 swb.
