Re: Before and After Doggie Photos

I don't have a before pic because we got him when he was around 7, but this is Moose. He looks about the same as when we got him. I think he's 12 or 13 now. He stays by my mom's side most of the time when she's home. I miss him when I'm down at college

Re: Before and After Doggie Photos

This is Bonn shortly after we got him, then recently at a little over 18 months old. Sweet boy, but definitely acts like the "pre-teen" that he is.

Re: Before and After Doggie Photos

Ran across this thread and thought I'd see how many members have Australian Cattle Dogs AKA Queensland Heelers, Red Heelers or Blue Heelers.

The wife and I went 14 years with no dog after our old Blue Heeler "Bandit" passed on after 17 wonderful years (ok maybe just 14 wonderful years) with the best and smartest dog we ever had, and with no kids at home anymore we opted on no dog, then last January I decided I needed another Blue Heeler. Meet "Molly" she just turned 4 months old and is a real lovable sweetheart and a royal pain in the a** all in one package.

As with any dog/puppy patience and the time to do training is a must or they will walk all over you, these ACD's are extremely intelligent and have tons of energy to expel would be an understatement.

Just curious if anyone else has a Heeler in their family?

Here are the bosses of Lazy Hound Racing. I'm just the laborer. Mary (tri-color) is now 8 years old and weighs 38 lbs. Joseph (lemon and white) is now 7 years old and weighs 65 lbs. Before Mary retired they gave me 4 litters for a total of 35 puppies with no still births. They are my world.

Here’s Spud. After falling in the new pool and trying to dry himself out by rolling in the dirt… Then after a grooming.

Re: Before and After Doggie Photos

Our Maltese Daisy used to dig up the peanuts the squirrels buried in the yard. The neighbor threw them out in his yard, but squirrels don't know about property rights. I don't have any of her dirty, but she would come in looking pretty much like Spud, in the previous post. Here she is with a piece of paper on her nose. She was always nosing into things.

Re: Before and After Doggie Photos

I love dogs to pieces. I've always had one, but don't now and haven't for quite a few years. I lost my last buddy, his actual name, and needed time before another. I hate to say it, but while not having a dog I have done so much landscaping it's too nice to have a dog. Nowhere for it to have to be a dog. I like a dog that will dig up a good spot to lay. That's being a dog! I am all about letting a dog be a dog. Makes for a very happy dog!

I've been waiting until the next place, where I'll rig it up more dog proof and give it it's own area. I'm single, too. So it would be nice to wait till the rare chance I hook up with someone to get one, so it would be "ours" from the git go. Kind of like step kids the other way. Nothing against either, mind you Probably get one no matter what, then another if MS Right comes along

Here's my ole Buddy. Shoot, I thought I had a picture I took in his last year or so. He's getting old in the second picture. He lived a long life. My son was 14 when he died and we got him when my son was 4. Got him from the pound. They guessed he was 3 or 4. I miss that boy
