Thumbs up Our happy place

A lot of people have there favorite place they like to go and spend time at. Ours is Garden City SC. We have a house 1/4" mile off the beach. Straight up from the pier. We spend a bunch of time here.
I got up early this morning and went down to get some pictures of the sun coming up over the water. It was a little cloudy so it took a bit longer. I even had breakfast with a old friend from work who lives here also.
God sure is good to us!

We have a sweet spot we like to run off too on the Cartecay. But honestly I think I could spend the rest of my life in/around the Appalachian Trail, with all the nonsense going on in the world right now would be nice getting lost up and around Three Forks Mountain for a few months.

Eagle Rock, Mo on the back end of Table Rock Lake on the AR line. Love it there. Me and the unhappy wife are discussing me buying another street bike so I can go down and ride. I'm happier about this than she is.

Re: Our happy place

Got a happy place in the back yard and the second photo is any one of a million places in Arkansas that looks like this. The Buffalo River is right behind me in this photo and my truck is on the top of that hill in the distance - 4.5 miles and 800 feet in elevation away. Had caught over 20 smallmouth hiking down this stream. Only way down to the water is by horse, mule, or your own two feet.

Is this where you find the sharks teeth that you sent me ?

One of ours is down on the Snake River at a camp ground that has clean clear river water coming into it from high in the mountains ..Wild Horse River meets the Snake River,,.. good fishing ,quiet and a big green park behind our travel trailer to sit at a pic nic table .

Thanks, it was a dream for the wife for about 10 years to have a house with a pool so when we bought this house it was the first thing we did. The screened porch was already here and there is a bathroom in the third bay of the garage that sidewalk to the left leads to so it was a perfect setup. Saltwater is the way to go.

Kids did lose interest in swimming in the lake though, that was a drawback because it cut down on our camping trips.

If you are ever going to be in the Little Rock, AR area with some time to kill send me a PM. I work from home and with this covid thing am travelling only about 20% of what I used to.

Right here I suppose, though it would probably be happier if I cut the phone/internet line

This is just down the hill from our house, looking across the neighbors' easement into the other horse pasture:

That too is one of my favorite spots. Lake Conasauga and the rest of the Cohuttas.

For the last 30 plus years we spend a couple of weeks in Kauai, HI. Always book aa small cottage on the east side. Really laid back area.
Not n 2021. Rules for travel to the islands is too crazy. What a bummer.

This is Ruskin Fl. That green patch of weeds is where the pool is going and just beyond those houses is Little Harbor. There's a beach and restaurants and a fishing pier.
