O, I forgot to mention that it got hot because we got a broken fan belt. So, I didn't want to try the obstacle course, with no one there and a not fully charged battery if we had to winch.

Re: 4X4 Action Pix

My buddy dug this video up for me. Same spot as the pics I posted above^^
This is 2006 Moab.
Picking the correct line makes all the difference as you will see.
Caution as my buddies are swearing at me as they are filming this so turn down your speakers if you are at work:

I'm going back to Moab in Sept 2010...can't wait!

Re: 4X4 Action Pix

Some pics of a trip to the North Rim of the Grand Canyon Feb 2009 during the big rains we had here in So Cal. It rained and snowed there too! Got stuck 2 miles away from MT. Trumball School House. Left the truck overnight the rest of the guys were worried about getting it out. Not me, it was cold, ground and mud froze overnight. Jacked up the backend with the hi-lift and a short jerk with the tow strap and it popped right out. The truck has a rear locker now so this should not happen again.

We take touring trips around the southwest, Mostly California, Arizona and Utah. A few guys I work with and I, we try to have several 4 to 5 day trips a year.

Those are 285/75x16 tires on my old 2000 Suburban stock wheels. The truck had a couple of hundred pounds of mud packed in every nook and cranny. We all spent about 20 dollars at the truck wash in St. George, Utah to clean our rigs before we hit the highway home. I still had to let the sprinkler run under the truck for a day after I came home to get it completely clean!
