I have installed a set of CPP upper and lower control arms on my 67 C10 SWB. I am having a problem with the upper shock mount lining up. See pictures. Seems to be 3-4 inches off. I am afraid to force them on as it puts a lot of pressure on the lower bushings. I am not even sure they can be forced on. I have contacted CPP and they are no help. Any suggestion to what may be wrong. Thanks for any help

I had the same problem with my CPP upper and lower arms. I installed the top shock on the post first and was able to get the bottom bolt in with a little finessing. The bushings have some twist in them but the shocks work fine.
It looks to me like the lower brackets are welded on the arm in the wrong location.

Yes top first, you will have to twist even a stock application.

Problems arise from letting the shock fully extend. It bottoms out the seals marring or scratching them and then they fail/leak.

Use some cheap Harbor Freight small tie down straps to get them into position, then let the strap loose.

Thanks for the feedback. When I questioned CPP via email the response was " the control arm is made in a jig so it cannot be wrong." I think the jig needs to be adjusted.

I will try installing the top first and see if that make a difference.

Are the arms at full droop?
Seems like if you were at ride height things would align better.

x2. Try installing them @ ride/compressed height of the arms.

The problem with CPP is that it's junk.
