Advice Needed.

Sorry but not for my truck.
Long story short my son scratched the paint on his car.
While at paint store to see what the best way to fix it was a guy talked a good story about fixing it and made it worse. His blend didn't and I have a hard line.
Figure I have nothing to lose in trying to fix it myself.
Bumper comes off pretty easy so that is what I will do.
Can I get by scuffing the clear and putting base over it and new clear or do I have to take everything off the whole bumper then new primer/base/clear?
Would love to try just fixing the corner that is bad.
What grit paper should I use also?
Thanks for any help.
Kim

Re: Advice Needed.

You can just scuff it I would block it with 320 to get the line out then 600 the entire piece they make a blending agent for spotting in or you can shoot the color on the entire piece ether way clear the hole thing

Re: Advice Needed.

Did his repair involve a Duplicolor spray can, or did he use BC/CC?

It is BC/CC.
He actually had it looking real good but had a run in the clear and it all went down hill from their. After fixing the run he had to put more BC on and I think he just over did it and got to close to his tape line trying to blend it.
Where the bumper meets the fender the color is perfect.

Re: Advice Needed.

You also need to use a sealer on the repaired area
