Can you take a pic of the fender badges? Never seen a set like those.

Regarding the tranny differences, there were two 3 speed manuals used between 67-72 (not counting the overdrive version). The first style used in 67/68 is a non-synchro'd tranny. The second is a synchro'd 3 speed used 69 and up.

They can be identified by the number of bolts on the shift fork cover. the 67/68 version has 4 bolts, the 69-up has 7. The 69-up is a longer tranny too, consequently the driveshafts in 67/68 trucks with this tranny are longer than in the 69-up counterparts.

The one on your red truck looks correct for the year. Your other truck may have had a later version swapped in?

hey there is nothing wrong with a 6! my friends 79 chevy two wheel drive with a 250 6, will out hill climb a lot of 4by's when the back of the truck is loaded with cast iron, just enough power to make the tires turn but not spin out.

CPNE the badges are the Canadian version of GMC's They say 910 underneath the GMC instead of 1500. A 3/4 ton would be 920.

This is the only Canadian difference on 67-72's so don't try and blame other stuff on us :p

What about the Mandatory Canadian Base Equipment? AKA Beer and bacon.

So the US GMC's were badged 1500 and 2500 whereas the Canadian versions were 910 and 920's? Is this some sort of exchange rate conversion?:p

I think the mandatory Canadian option gave a block heater and special coolant.
