Has anybody installed these in there housings yet.
Looks like the housing will need some minor mods.
Looking for suggestions on installing these since they did
Not come with any directions.

Re: Fesler Tail Lights

Yes they need mods to fit, put mine in last night ( could not wait). They were hitting at corners, so I trimmed the corners to fit. Took longer to take out and put back than to do.

Re: Fesler Tail Lights

The fesler lights are totally smooth face, no lines, rings etc. also they are bordered in my case with a anodized black billet trim, other options included polished and natural. They really make the chrome trim pop. What you are seeing and I am going to change is the reflective aluminum paint at my bulb

Re: Fesler Tail Lights

Hmm.. Just got mine today and tried to install them right away. Just noticed the corner clearance issues noted above. Glad I used the search feature to find this. Guess I'll be trimming the corners off the tail light housings. Thanks for the tip 69Chevy lwb.

Re: Fesler Tail Lights

They look nice, but to pay that kind of money for some lenses; my kids better be able to put them in, without having to modify them.

Do you have pictures of the mod you had to do ,,,, ? I dont have a fleet side to check them on. I am assumming you modded something on the bedside that doesnt show and not the actual taillight assembly.

They are more than just lenses , they are billet aluminum frames with custom lenses ... not stock lenses .
Not sure what you have seen for a price , but I sell them for $163.00 shipped for the polish and $143.00 for the black anodized shipped .
And I believe the mod is very minor and is behind the assembly and does not show. .

Wink Re: Fesler Tail Lights

From my understanding it's the housing that they go inside of has to have the corners trimmed off so the new lens with billet will sit inside the light housing.

Get out and drive the truck this summer and have some fun!
It sucks not being able to hear!

LWB trucks rule, if you don't think so measure your SWB!
After talking to tech support at Air Lift I have found out that the kit I need is 60811. Per the measurements I gave them. Ride height of truck inside spring and inside diameter of springs.

Re: Fesler Tail Lights

Ksb, I went ahead and trimmed the ends off the lamp housings. The curves are a little long for the factory housing so I trimmed housing ends off. ( the buckets that hold the bulbs) it takes longer to take apart than to cut. Not a big deal and should be expected with any after market mod I would think. I believe the aluminum frame of the fesler units is too thick which prevents the corners from sitting down and in.

The back up lenses fit perfectly without modification. The tail lights have issues. This is what I had to do to get them installed. Used a dremel tool and a carbide bit to cut (grind) the corners out. I left the housings in the truck, but I'd recommend taking them out if you're not real steady with a dremel, or if you're working on a nicely painted truck. It skipped off on me once. Thankfully it didn't do any damage, and the paint it scuffed is not in a visible location.

Re: Fesler Tail Lights

Anyone tried using leds with this unit I just got the lens in and havent installed them yet. I want to use sequential leds but ksbrktracer says that fesler doesnt have leds for them yet but a thinking of making them. I saw one set with leds but the guy didnt post who made them. I saw the ones posted earlier do those fit?

The set with leds are $249 with visible mounting holes like the fesler, (look pretty much the same) and they also sell a set of led tail lights without the mounting holes (as in: you only see the bezel, no holes). That one goes for $825. If you still want to buy them, I'll look for the link and seller.
