Dash pad repair?

So i have a guy working for me helping me on the GMC 68 i told him to remove the dash pad before cutting the hole for the center ac vent.Well he didnt!The dremell left two grooves about 6 inches apart a 16th of an inch deep about a half inch tall .Anyway of filling these and repairing it?Or did i just pay him for a days pay and have to put 90 bucks out for a new pad?Thanks Oz

Well that sucks!

There used to be kits available to repair vinyl, I don't know if they are still available or not. You might try Eastwood.

There's really nothing that works like new. I sew and cover in vinyl on the ones I get and customers seem to like the seam along the front. Call and talk to your local upholstery shop and he may have someone that do a repair. It will last a little while.
