O.k. Where should I connect the (+) power lead from my radio, so that it will play in the "ACC" position???

The radio connector is pretty much right in the center of the fuse block, right above the fuse marker radio. That will work on ACC.

I have that connected, but it is not "hot" in the ACC position.

I installed a new starter switch and traced the wiring using the "colorized" diagrams. It appears there are (2) wires connected to the ACC term. on switch. One is a 12ga brown wire that goes to the fuseblock. The other is a 24ga. brown/white tracer that goes to the firewall connector. However, the "radio" term on the fuseblock is not "hot" in the ACC position.

What am I missing??

Does it work in the Run position? The only feed to the radio (as well as the wipers, heater and a few others) should be that 12 g brown wire, so they should work in both the Acc and Run positions, or not at all. How about the wipers and heater?

I hear you. Everything works in the "RUN" position, just nothing in the "ACC" mode. Could there be something wrong (backside of fuse-block)?

What kind of starter switch did you use? New new, or new to you? I ask because 67 models did not have an accessory position.

What year is your truck? Like OldGold said If it is a '67 or early '68 it doesn't have an accessory position on the switch. If the switch has been replaced with a newer switch the wire loom probably doesn't have the wires for it.

Thanks Lockdoc,

Truck is a '70. New Borg-Warner switch. Harness has two (noted) wires on the ACC term. One is a 12ga brown wire that goes to the fuseblock. The other is a 24ga. brown/white tracer that goes to the firewall connector. This weekend I'm going to pull switch out of dash, re-connect the connector, let it hang down and start tracing wiring circuits. Wiring is there, switch is new, something strange is occuring. I've been studying the 'colorized" wiring diagrahms and I'm not exactly sure how the "radio" term gets it's 12 v. feed.

Admittedly this is not a major issue and I have some other "higher priority" projects on the table, but I will keep after it until it's resolved.
