Re: CL Find - Cool Conversion
I'm missing something with the Mustang running gear comment. Did you call the guy and he tell you it had Mustang running gear?

Re: CL Find - Cool Conversion
It seems I've seen that thing posted here back a while for sale, like a few years ago. Personally,I think it's a dumb waste of a good Suburban. Kinda like an Avalanche. Why not enjoy the benefit of a covered and lockable cargo area that's accessible from inside? It's already a truck, just one you have the option of a 3rd seat and cargo space, over 8' bed,or 6' bed with crewcab

Re: CL Find - Cool Conversion
I'm with special-K and shawno72 on this one. An Avalanche - or in this case a copy of one - is a crappy SUV (no interior space) and a crappy pick-up (no 8-foot bed). You gotta pick what you want (SUV or pick-up) and roll with it.

Re: CL Find - Cool Conversion
For those of you Avalanche haters I have one now built right before thanksgiving I love it it is the 2nd I have built and since have bought another to build next on the shop list. They ride as well as any car or truck I have ever owned and can still haul a bit granted not as amuch maybe as a regular truck but it can lock cargo awy. I used to make fun of them as cut up suburbans and the like till I owned one and now numbers 2and 3. I see alot of those thing on the road and as a car dealer I try to pay attention to that sort of thing ...just saying

Re: CL Find - Cool Conversion
Ok sorry,it's dumb like a Honda Odyssey To each their own. Cars ride like cars, too. Trucks and Suburbans can haul enough to justify their poor fuel economy and I like how trucks ride. I can only imagine what a headache that seal between the bed will be as time goes by. About the only thing an Avalanche can do that a Suburban can't is haul a refrigerator upright. But,I'd rater lay the thing down in the back of a Suburban and let it settle before plugging in,LOL. Like I said,to each their own. Obviously some like them or they wouldn't be around. I think they're dumb, but especially this Suburban because it can't even do what an Avalanche can and it was a good classic before someone got out the sawzall..
