Thanks! This thing was a garage turd for a long time, then when I got the highlander, I decided to fix er up and sell. It was a pain, but fun - have never fixed one up with the actual intention to sell it, but needed more room. Reminded me of something from my youth - the more you work on it, the more attached you become. Was hard to sell it when the time came and I have to admit that I kinda miss it. Have never seen another 71 C20 Cheyenne Super Custom Camper (but I'm sure there are plenty out there).

Love that two-tone olive highlander! Did it originally come with PA1s or was it a trim truck with PO1s or PO3s originally? The PO1s you have on it now look great - by far the best choice for any C10 in my opinion.

It is a trim truck, no package and had the base hubcaps on it. The owners son who got the truck from his Dad in 1987 and kept it until 2011 sent me attached scanned pic from July 1972 when the truck was new. You can see the hubcaps and white rims in the pic. I know this question is off the olive truck theme of this thread but I think its good place to ask the question. If you notice in the pic from 2011 the trucks hubcaps have the ochre bowtie on them. Now I am not 100% sure they are the originals but talking with the owners son I don't think they were ever changed. Didn't the 72's come with blue bowties on base hubcaps.

Re: Olive Green truck Picture's

Wow, a lot of first class rides here, a lil embarrassing to post a pic of mine. It's definitely Olive, well most of it anyway. Should have a white top, had a partial re-spray years ago and the white is peeking thru.

These were 2 near perfect 72 Cheyennes seen at the AACA National in Naples, FL on March 19th. The meadow green one was of interest to me because it is exactly like mine, except perfect!

ECE 4.5/6.25. 275/60/15 tires all around. I have a 1/2" lower block I plan to install since it currently has a slight rake.
Here's my install thread: http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=612794

Understatement of the year. That is simply stunning! If my ratty K20 ever gets freshened up and repainted, that color will be at the top of my list.

I just hope mine doesn't turn out that gorgeous because I'd be afraid to use it as a truck! Better if I just leave it crusty....

Is that Dark Olive 506? It's an amazing color but almost looks to have more gray. If it's not 506, what is it?

edit: could be my monitor color.

Re: Olive Green truck Picture's

I was about to ask the same question. My truck will be repainted in the near future and I love the way that color looks in that side shot. I have to get my truck back to the original solid dark olive or something close. I have saved all the pictures of that truck so I can show people what mine is supposed to and will look like again!
