Lift spring questions?

I ended up with a set of lift leaf springs (2 front and 2 rear) that I was told may be for a '67-'72 Chevy 4x4. But, from what little info I've been able to find on the net about springs, the dimensions arent matching up (at least for the front springs....). I don't know anything about lift springs/kits, so thought perhaps someone here could get me pointed in the right direction as to what these springs fit.

Sorry I don't have any way to take and post pics, but did take some measurements to start. Front pair are 2 inches wide, 44 inches eye to eye, 7 leafs. Pin is centered. Rear packs are 52 inches long eye to eye, 2 1/2 inches wide, pin is centered in pack, and 7 leafs.

Any thoughts?

Thanks

Re: Lift spring questions?

Wish I could help.
You might ask your question in the 4x4 area,... or I could move this thread there for you.
Sorry I'm no help.

Re: Lift spring questions?

I realized that after I posted that the 4x4 area would be better. I didn't want to double post lol. If you moved this over that'd be great... thanks.

Re: Lift spring questions?

I think 83 4x4 are 44 in the rear. Probably 3/4 ton. I could use some 44's...

Re: Lift spring questions?

Thanks for moving this

Rayfinseats: I dont think Chevy used 44 inch springs in the rear... my rears on my '87 Chev stepside are also 52 inches like these freebie ones (Ive got a simular post here in the 4x4 section seeing if these freebie springs are lift springs or what they are) as well as 52 inchers on my cuz's '82 K-25. The fronts are the ones that Im really unsure about. Ive had several local guys suggest they sound like possibly for Jeeps???

I'm gonna try to borrow a camara to get some pictures posted in the next couple days... sure that will help a bunch.

Thanks, Tim

Re: Lift spring questions?

OK, was able to get a couple pictures of the rear springs, one of the freebie spring set, and one of the drivers side mounted on my truck (passanger side is same setup, same condition). Don't know if theres enough detail to help, I can try to get more pics.
