Re: How about some pics of 73-87 Long Beds?

Hi, all...Just joined the sight and attached photos are my reason for joining....It's a very original 1976 Cheyenne Camper Special with 454, auto, tilt, cruise, a/c, 138,000 babied miles and is as clean as a whistle....Not really a project as I can't think of anything it needs....Seller "threw in" the 1976 Dreamer cabover that came new with the truck...Had a '72 Custom Camper 20 years ago w/ a cabover when the kids were small----this one just made me feel too nostalgic and I had to have it...

That is a really nice truck! Are those 16.5x9.75 wheels on all four corners?

Man, that truck and camper is really old school and I love it. Had one like it back then. Your truck and camper is really nice. Really clean for the year.

Re: How about some pics of 73-87 Long Beds?

That's a steal for a grand, Vernski!...Great find...

Thanks for the comps on my Camper Special...It runs as smooth as it looks...Those are actually 31 10.50 x 16.5's on my truck, Tony...You bring up an interesting point...When I had my '72 CS about 25 years ago, the tire guys were telling me to switch to 16" rims, as they will be phasing out the 16.5's...My tires are almost new, but I wonder if I'll have trouble finding 16.5's down the road....

Your welcome! You can still find 16.5 tires but they are getting harder and harder to find. If the truck was 4x4 I would tell you to get some 37" hummer tires but they wont fit with your 2wd, if all else fails skid loader tires will work lol. If you ever decide to sell those wheels put them on here as someone is always looking for some of those.

There's mine. Just got it and drives perfectly, chassis has no rust despite the body showing it. Anyone wants a Camper shell?

CLR that sucker and see what you can do!
oh wait...Now that i looked closer at the edges of her it might not be worth it. Unless it was just the edges and you could do small replacement panels

Re: How about some pics of 73-87 Long Beds?

I'm going to start with a mild lift and different wheels of course, It seems like it's going to need a whole new body transplant since the whole body is rusted through, even the cab has holes in it to the bottom. Is a 1980 K10 I think since it's 4x4. The engine had a wasps nest in it and the Smog/Air pump is seized, oh yeah it leaks water like there's no tomorrow too.

That body kit it terrible. Someone needs to save this truck. It would be a beautiful truck without the BK.
