Let’s see, where do I start….

Locksmithing, woodworking, building metal toys, stained glass, metal casting, model trains, prospecting for gold & diamonds, collecting antiques, and building computers to name a few…. Many things I just do once, but I always have the supplies on hand to do another if I decide to.

Here are a couple of metal fire trucks I built:
http://members.zumatel.net/leon429/firetrk.html

The trucks are pretty big (26" long)

Some of my woodworking projects:
http://members.zumatel.net/leon429/woodwork.html

All projects are built from scratch, not kits.

Picture of a staind glass piece I made is below.

I like to try different things just to see if I can do it.....

Re: Hobbies other than trucks?

I'm a Youtuber, so I enjoy doing video/graphic editing and filming (but, its mostly about trucks )

I also collect firearms, sneakers, and Gold. All of my hobbies cost WAY too much, and I enjoy them all, so I'm usually broke...with cool stuff.

Lets see, besides my trucks, I build and do maintenance golf carts. I did build models and collect die cast models. My true hobbie is golf carts though.
Here are a few of the ones I own are did own but sold.

Get out and drive the truck this summer and have some fun!
It sucks not being able to hear!

LWB trucks rule, if you don't think so measure your SWB!
After talking to tech support at Air Lift I have found out that the kit I need is 60811. Per the measurements I gave them. Ride height of truck inside spring and inside diameter of springs.

Blues music. I go to a lot of concerts, usually 2 or 3 a month, and festivals in the summer. I went to 4 major multi-day fests last summer. I hope to come out of tax season with enough scratch to book a trip on the Blues Cruise this year. I'm also heavily involved with the local Blues Society.

Re: Hobbies other than trucks?

Lots of interesting hobbies you guys have. Im kinda jealous.

Since having kids, Ive had to scale back to just keeping things running as a hobby. Dirt bikes, Harley and keeping the house maintained. Not real fun stuff but rewarding nonetheless.
I grew up fishing with my Grandpa and Dad so I still do a bit of crabbing with the boy when we can.

Have always loved boats the whole time.

Started with Grandpa's 51 footer on trips to the Farallon Islands when I was 4 or 5. At 17, it was a Stevens then Sanger flat bottoms. When I got married it became a comp ski boat and a few years back a wakeboard boat.

I like to tell people that one of my hobbies is wake boarding but I really stink at it to tell the truth. The only thing spectacular about my riding would be my crashes which keeps my family entertained. I do still like being out there though and don't like the thought of not being able to do so.

Hunting. Ive never hunted in my life (just never had the opportunity with a family of fishermen) but have always wanted to learn. It does seem like a tough sport to break into as you get older though. Seems like so much of the sport is passed from father to son which hits a very tradition oriented nerve in me. May have missed the boat on that one.

Keep em coming

I'm a football referee and baseball umpire for the high schools here in the SF Bay Area. I drive my truck to the games and have some interesting conversations with people as I am getting dressed in the parking lot.

Thanks! I work on this stuff for a living so it's kinda second nature.

Both the 460's are fairly new saws so they start easy. The homie is a bit more complicated after sitting awhile. It has a small are leak through the crank seals I think. Hoping to rebuild it one day.

I enjoy computer gaming but haven't done much since getting the old truck. Even built a nice gaming PC for it. I'm 63, and can still pwn these damn kids online. But mostly just play RPG's.

Well that explains why your build thread photos are always framed perfectly!

As for my hobbies, I used to rock climb quite a bit (before my kids were born, now not so much). I also like to edit photos, design logos, or any other photoshop related editing.
