hard wiring a battery tender

Is it possible to hard wire a battery tender somewhere behind the alternator? My battery has been relocated under the bed in a drop down box that is not a real convienent. I don't get to drive it much so keeping the battery charged is an issue. Any suggestions? Diagram? Thanks in advance.

I know there's a big lead from the battery to the starter, so you could put your positive on the starter lug, and ground anyplace convenient.

My maintainer is a Noco brand, which has detachable alligator clips. I mounted one of these in the suburban, which allows me to quickly connect and disconnect the charger without any tools:

Yes. You'll just tie in to an appropriately sized and fused +12V and ground.

I'm using a NOCO Genius for a project at work and it has a connecter so you can hook it to your battery and route the connector to a convenient spot for you.

Re: hard wiring a battery tender

I'd drop the battery and attach the "Deltran Battery Tender 081-0069-6 Charger Quick Disconnect" there, then zip tie it to the battery box. That way when I wanted to use it I could plug it in from underneath. I did a similar thing to my 40 horse tractor.

Same for me, I have quick connects for the Tender on my truck and my Deere. Works perfect. No need to actually have the Battery Tender on board.
